This role is required to lead on the governance, execution and reporting of the Compliance Monitoring Plan while ensuring that the Compliance Monitoring function is effective in its duties as an independent second line of defence function to monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank’s processes and controls to mitigate its compliance risks and meet its regulatory obligations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular compliance monitoring and control activities to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor and control trading activities, transactions, and communications to identify potential compliance issues or regulatory breaches.
- Develop and implement comprehensive control frameworks to enhance compliance monitoring capabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on compliance-related matters, including regulatory changes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of compliance monitoring and control activities, findings, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Risk Management, and Internal Audit, to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks to provide proactive insights and recommendations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience in compliance roles within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including MiFID II, MAR, EMIR, and AML/KYC regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess compliance implications.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in French.
