We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic junior software developer who is committed to helping us make the world a better place. You will join our experienced software Catalog Integration team.

This team is at the core of our market place as it is in charge of catalog management (the entire list and description of items that are sold on BackMarket by our sellers) as well as offering API capabilities for sellers to operate their business on our platform.

The team comprises nine people, 7 backend engineers, 1 product manager and 1 engineering manager, sharing the same passion for sustainability as well as success for BackMarket, and gathering various skills from development, monitoring, and implementing procedures and tools.

As an intern, you’ll work closely with our backend engineers to contribute meaningfully to the growth of BackMarket by building impactful new features and contributing to technical improvements.

The expected profiles for this role are backend engineers with skills in coding (ideally Python) and are familiar with using a Linux system and the command line.

- Support the team’s technical rework efforts, helping refine and optimize our codebase.

**YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF**:
- You are a master’s degree student studying computer science, priority to backend engineering.
- You have knowledge of basic coding languages and ideally Python and have basic programming experience (github, personal or student projects).
- You have knowledge of databases and operating systems, Linux is a plus.
- You have the ability to learn new software and technologies quickly, being curious about the coding environment you’ll evolve in.
- You are detail-oriented and have the desire and ability to work in a team in an international environment.
- You are fluent in English - French is a plus.
- You are looking for a 6 month, full-time role (35h/week), internship (March 2025 - September 2025) based in Paris, France
- Your school can provide an internship agreement & you are authorized to work in France (EU Nationality or in possession of valid student visa/work permit).
