**_Market intelligence and budget preparation _**:
- Collect European, category, supplier specific information
- Propose strategic path to Global Category Manager
- Provide economic insights and trends on European market
- Propose new ideas of savings or cost avoidance
- Active participation in budget preparation and achievement
**_Perform sourcing and ensure commercial supplier performance _**
- Send RFQ to suppliers
- Prepare cost estimation (for BU during acquisition phase), including request of “should cost” to Cost Engineering team
- Negotiate and formalize contracts
- Organize and lead the sourcing decisions in her/his area of responsibility based on the category strategy and Business Units expectations
- Negotiate annually or on spot with suppliers (prices, payment terms, tooling, commercial clauses,)
- Report KPI by part number and supplier
**_Manage supplier base _**
- Maintain and develop contacts with suppliers
- Develop supplier panel
- Ensure commercial supplier performance and compliance
- Contribute to projects to optimize supplier performance
**_Support plants _**
- Support Business Unit plants in any operational discussions with suppliers in case of escalation requested (quality, delivery,)
