**Business Development Consultant (BDC)** will launch your stimulating and rewarding tech sales career. Our 12-15 month program is centered around pipeline generation and talent development. Our BDCs are trained regularly on core sales skills. Including new hire training, solution messaging & ongoing sales skills training. BDCs work closely with a team of field sales represents who collaborate, share best practices and strategize with their BDC.

The BDC program invests in talent who are committed to growing, learning, and performing in this role and beyond. The GBU BDC Team offers 2 structured career paths. A sales track and a leadership track. Encouraging BDCs to take their career in the direction that will fulfill their career goals. Successful BDCs have progressed into more advanced sales roles which provides increased earning potential, and our promote-from-within culture has propelled our most committed and innovative BDCs into leadership roles within sales and business development.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing & qualifying quality pipeline for our field sales representatives
- Strategizing and collaborating with field sale and marketing program stakeholders
- Building a knowledge of the Oracle ecosphere and GBU solutions. Becoming a trusted advisor to prospects
- Uncovering & qualifying prospective customer needs by understanding business challenges and engaging with key decision-making personas.
- Demonstrating initiative, creativity & collaboration through ad-hoc projects for various departments
- Displaying teamwork, sharing best practices, collaboration and mentoring new hires

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

The primary focus of a Business Development Consultant is to generate demand for Oracle solutions and services through a mix of inbound calls and outbound prospecting within an assigned territory or vertical

As a Telesales Business Development Representative you will act as the first contact for many prospects in Oracle business with inbound telemarketing calls. Qualifies Oracle prospects and produce quality leads for the Oracle Sales Force. Performs database and record keeping activities.

Ability to demonstrate time management, telesales skills and knowledge of Oracle products and services (training provided). Goal oriented individual with superior communication skills. Ability to complete individual goals as well as work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate using technical concepts. Working knowledge of Oracle products preferred. Desire for a long-term career in sales preferred. Two years relevant business experience preferred.
