POLITICO is seeking a talented editor to lead our English-language coverage out of France.

This editor will be responsible for fostering top-notch stories about politics, policy and world affairs from a team of Paris-based reporters.

The role is a busy, hands-on editing job driving coverage out of one of Europe’s most prominent countries. It would suit an experienced journalist with a track record of directing global news reporting, who enjoys setting the agenda and is confident collaborating with reporting teams in Brussels, London, Berlin and Washington DC.

This is a full-time role based in our Paris newsroom.

**What You’ll Do**
- Set the direction for France coverage and line edit stories for politico.eu
- Manage and edit reporters covering the French government and the nexus between French, EU and world politics
- Support journalists in producing distinctive coverage for our core readers in political and diplomatic bubbles as well as a more global audience
- Feed into discussions about how to grow POLITICO’s audience, reach and impact

**What You’ll Need**
- Demonstrable interest in French & EU politics and geopolitics
- Strong track record of sharp editing and excellent news judgment
- Written and verbal fluency in English, verbal fluency in French
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working at speed and developing longer-term projects
