Engineering Chemical Team Manager

Automotive Cells Company (ACC) est une co-entreprise créée à l'été 2020 par **Saft-Total**, le **Groupe PSA et Opel** (devenus **Stellantis** depuis)et **Mercedes-Benz**. Notre ambition est de produire des batteries au meilleur niveau technologique tout en rendant la mobilité électrique accessible au plus grand nombre.

**Job description**:

As a Chemical Team Manager your job will be to..._**
- Manage the product engineering chemistry team.
- Supervise teammates to ensure developments programs execution.
- Resource workload management and topics prioritization when needed.
- Ensure EV cells chemistry materials and slurry formations design activities relevant with projects and company roadmap and objectives.
- Participate to department long term roadmap and orientations drafting.
- Plan and animate internal standards and technical referential creation.
- Run and plan OPEX and CAPEX budget for the team.

Main Missions:_**
- Hire, Manage and coach the product engineering chemistry seniors, engineers and technicians
- Structure the team to support multiples customer projects
- Draft and animate the improvement of internal standards, processes and methodologies implementations
- Contribute to the company roadmap
- Propose new concepts and materials to improve EV cell at chemistry, relevant with company roadmap
- Build and test prototypes
- Lead and manage internal and external projects, contracts, while collaborating with internal teams (R&D, Industrialization, Projects, Simulation,).
- Lead and manage collaborations with suppliers, customers and strategic partners.
- Be aware of and analyses solutions from competitors.
- Be up to date to the state of the art on its topic of expertise.
- Participate to international meetings and contribute to the company fame.
- Support Intellectual Property monitoring and propose innovative patentable concepts.

Know How_**
- Management and team motivation
- Excellent understanding of the Li-ion accumulators technology
- Excellent understanding of current technological locks and limits
- Electrochemistry applied to battery
- Manufacturing processes of Li-ion cell
- Knowledge on various analytical methods

**_
Experience_**
- 10 years’ experience in similar job at automotive or battery manufacturer
- 5+ years technical team management
- International experience (China, Japan, Korea, Germany, USA) in R&D and/or Production for Li-ion battery

**_
Qualification_**
- PhD in Chemistry/Electrochemistry/Material Science
- Fluent in English
