**Job Description ** We are looking for a **Head of systems engineering **at our **Toulouse **site, to support the rapid growth of the spacevan activities within Exotrail. You will manage a tema of 10 systems engineers, working on our 3 ongoing projects in the in-orbit services team: development of spacevan LEO, spacevan GEO satellites, and R&D activity around rendezvous and proximity operations. Attached to the **In-orbit services **team, you will be responsible for: - Team Management: Manage junior and senior systems engineers in their day-to-day activities, trainings, career paths and mandatory management meetings (two annual reviews); performs regular one-to-one meetings with the team members and report any noticeable event from the management and from the team members - Responsible for systems resources: size its team according to the ongoing and future projects; recruit with our talent acquisition team, onboard and outboard systems engineers - Interface with project managers and product managers to define the required team organization and sizing; assist them in preparing budgets - Interface with the other technical managers to define interfaces, plan for common activities and organize responsibilities - Systems culture awareness: develop and educate the technical team to a framework to learn basics of systems engineering, satellite design and mission design; and define the necessary templates to be used to fit this framework - Satellite system engineering mindset: develop a satellite system engineering culture across the organization - Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive overview of the activities of its team and how this work in integrated in projects - Identify a roadmap to develop the activities of the systems team, with the inputs of the product and projects roadmaps - Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders to align technical efforts with project goals and timelines - Compliance and Standards: Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols The position is based in Toulouse, France. **Preferred Experience ️** We are looking for a seasoned professional with significant experience in systems engineering (> 5 years), and management (> 5 years).
