**NEW ELECTRICAL SOLUTION PROJECT LEADER H/F**

- Supervisor: Direct report to the Head of Electrical engineering department

**Context**
- Nexans has initiated a major strategic shift from a cable generalist to a pure electrification player all along the value chain, from generation to usage through transport and distribution. In particular, Nexans will further enhance its leading positioning in interconnexions and offshore wind farm connections by delivering full solutions and cutting edge technologies. In Power Distribution and Building, Nexans will further develop its position from cable and accessories producer to delivering solutions for the management for the grid (growth, replacement, smart exploitation, asset management).
- In line with this strategy, Nexans reinforces its innovation & R&D in order to develop New electrical solution offers.
- The electrical engineering department is working with the building design lab, grid design lab, electrical lab and the FabLab to deliver new offers.
- The electrical engineering department is gathering (i) MV/HV dielectric materials development team, (ii) electrical test lab, (iii) some new offer project leaders.

**Purpose**
- The new electrical solution project leader is in charge of:
- Designing technical architecture, benchmarking existing solution
- Doing the technical research and development of the different bricks
- Delivering the new key electrical solution offers to make Nexans a leading player in the value chain of Power transmission, distribution and usages
- Collaborating with Design lab, marketing and industrial to setup the delivery model of the offers
- Building and animating the project squad team
- Organizing and animating the steering committee to review the progress of the projects
- Bringing technical expertise about the electrical grid and building system
- Animating problem solving or idea generation sessions

**Areas of responsability**
- The New electrical solution project leader will drive the project activities. The project activities are organized around the maturity level of the new offer under development:
- Exploration phase:

- Building technical architecture
- Doing technical features investigation and validation
- Building exploration map
- Structuring the challenges and questions to be addressed
- Pivoting according to the learnings
- Organizing and structuring the customer feedback
- Reporting and proposing the next steps to the steering committee
- Looking for external partnership in order to accelerate the development
- Building IP strategy
- Exploitation phase:

- Building sprint plans with clear and impacting objectives
- Evaluating and mitigating the risks
- Animating the team and the key stake holders to build the offer delivery model
- Being accountable for the offer development
- Reporting and animating the Steering committee
- Building and executing the project plan
- New idea generation:
- Actively participating to generate some new ideas
- Animating brainstorming session for problem solving or new idea generation
- Technical expertise on electrical grid and building system:
- Actively participating and fostering the knowledge management
- Participating to CIRED, IEC, or national relevant standards working groups

- Successful operational experience in R&D in electrical systems
