**ABOUT THE FOOD & BEVERAGE DIVISION** - **Beverages** > The authentic and innovative taste solutions from Symrise are used in soft drinks, juice-based drinks, tea and coffee products, spirits and fermented beverages. - **Sweet** > Symrise creates innovative taste solutions for sweets, chocolates, chewing gum, baked goods, cereals, ice cream and milk products, as well as for the health care sector. - **Savory** > Symrise can rely on its core flavor competency in meat and vegetables, which is characterized by cutting-edge food technology and research as well as sustainability. - **Naturals** > The business unit offers a wide range of innovative, natural and sustainable ingredients for food and beverage manufacturers, as well as products for baby food and dietary supplements. **The role can be located everywhere** **in Europe (preferably in France)**, as long as you are able to travel up to 30% of your time** **YOUR ROLE** The Regional Safety Leader mission is to support the plants & sites in the EMEA region (**outside of Germany)** on reducing risks and improving the safety culture, by partnering with the Business Unit Leadership, Regional and Operational teams and aligned with the Symrise Global Symsafe and TN&H Safety strategy, policies and goals. This position will leverage and deliver pragmatic field expertise on technical, behavioral and safety operational aspects. **Responsibilities**: This is a full time role reporting to the TN&H Global Safety Director, dedicated to Food & Beverage and Naturals EAME Safety Coordination and operational support for 15 sites (Egypt, France, Netherlands, Russia, South-Africa, Spain, UK). Main tasks will be: - Support the Regional Safety Plan execution, in coordination with Regional staff and aligned with Symrise TN&H Safety Roadmap & Symsafe Vision (Golden Rules, Risk Management, Lessons Learned Application, etc) - Drive performance reviews at site level, and provide support on deployment of clear and focused improvement plans - Coordinate the Regional outside of Germany network of safety coordinators at site level, and be accountable for local safety performance results - Coordinate and animate the Regional safety governance outside of Germany, including Regional Operational Director, Plant Directors and Local Safety professionals. Participate as needed on Food & Beverage and Naturals Central Safety Governance - Identify and cross share best practices in the Region, in coordination with Symrise TN&H Global Safety and Symsafe - Ensure timely and complete safety metrics reporting for the region regarding operations outside Germany. Perform data trend analysis for justifying actions / resources allocation - Provide coaching to sites on Risk Management initiatives, in coordination with Symrise TN&H Programs & Symsafe - Support the Regional staff on meeting the Symrise TN&H Safety expectations & building accountability at operational levels - Identify technical / expertise support needs, and escalate & coordinate jointly with Symrise TN&H and Symsafe **WHAT ABOUT YOU?** - Graduated / Master degree on safety, environmental or relevant discipline - 5+ years experience in the health & safety area, dealing with manufacturing operations - Previous experience on multiple sites support is required - Good communication, team coordination & people management skills - Experience on animating safety committees, governance & safety community interactions - Ability to develop and implement safety plans / actions aligned to the broader organizational goals & strategies - Demonstrated knowledge on regional safety regulation & delivering safety trainings - Professional English and French ; other European languages considered as a plus **Meaningful health and safety measures** Like all companies, we’re faced with numerous challenges when it comes to ensuring the health and safety of all our employees.
