Content Copywriter and Coordinator

The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit, medical society. It is an independent, non-governmental organisation. The ESC is a source of high quality, evidence-based science that pushes the boundaries of cardiovascular medicine. Our members and decision-makers are healthcare professionals who give their time and expertise freely, while continuing their daily, high-paced clinical and/or research work. ESC volunteers are world-renowned experts; their opinions are routinely sought and their papers regularly published and referenced. The ESC coordinates observational registries, creates clinical practice guidelines, and organises and endorses educational programmes. We disseminate robust and independent science through our congresses, journals and educational digital tools. We’re the voice of the cardiology community when advocating for heart-health policies, regulations and funding. All of these things enable us to identify cardiovascular trends, address inequalities, share best practices to improve standards of care for patients We are: - 2,500 volunteers - 57 National Cardiac Societies / 49 Affiliated Cardiac Societies - Over 102,000 members We share the latest in cardiovascular science through: - 17 journals - including our flagship, European Heart Journal - 14 congresses - including ESC Congress, the largest cardiology congress in the world - 80+ webinars per year, numerous courses, and 4 post-graduate programmes in collaboration with leading universities The ESC employs +220 staff, based in Nice and Brussels, who support ESC volunteers in the development and management of these activities. The ESC is currently looking for a **Content copywriter and coordinator (external communication) **for a permanent contract, CDI, as soon as possible to work at its headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France. **Major duties and responsibilities**:Creates powerful content to support the ESC’s brand value of excellence and maintain a coherent tone/voice and style across all communication channels: - Develop written non scientific content, that can be used across any communication channel to create engaging narratives that resonate with all target audiences: - Copywriting, editing and proofread written pieces before publication. - Benchmark and continually keep up to date on writing trends and copywriting techniques for different platforms - Position him/herself as the primary communication contact for communications projects to ensure seamless coordination and effective dissemination of information: - Collect and analyse all communication needs for projects/activities. - Define the respective communication plan - Deploy tactics: write content for digital and print communication channels, coordinate production and monitor their implementation - Share results with project owners and write reports for priority/sponsored projects. - Develop visual content in order to enhance content across all communications channels - Quality control (editorial review) to ensure written materials provide the most impact or views **Profile**: - Hard skills:_ - Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar communications position - English written and spoken English to mother tongue level - Experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business - Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides - Experience with content management systems, and in reporting, digital writing, copywriting and composition - Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design - Photoshop and Office (specifically PPT) - Soft skills:_ - Creative but also highly detail orientated - Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage the work of others is a necessity - Able to work with daily deadlines - Available for travel in Europe **Application**: - A cover letter - A CV - Your availability (notice period, relocation, work permit...) - Your salary expectations (gross / year) **Conditions**: - Non-Executive status, - “Forfait jour” (215 days/year) - Fixed salary + 13th month and vacation bonus (1%) - Lunch vouchers - Possibility of teleworking up to 3 days a week, after two months' integration at ESC + fixed daily allowance - “Compte épargne temps” - Employee savings scheme: PERCO - CSE benefits - L'ESC est signataire de La Charte d'Activateur de Progrès qui partage la conviction que le handicap constitue un formidable levier d’innovation en faveur d’un modèle plus inclusif pour répondre au défi de l’égalité des chances._ - As part of its diversity policy, the ESC is an equal opportunity employer._ - The ESC is a signatory of "La Charte Activateur de Progrès" which shares the conviction that disability is a powerful lever for innovation in favour of a more inclusive model to meet the challenge of equal opportunities._ ns, or related field Work Location: In person
