Research Technician for Mineral Processing

Within the Mining Department, you will be joining a 14-people team (with both technicians and engineers), divided in two teams: 1) Mineral Processing and 2) Agglomeration. The Mineral Processing team is in charge of the development of innovative focus paths and of existing process' optimization, of the development of new technologies, and of innovative process for the global mines assets of ArcelorMittal.
To do so, the Agglomeration team is crucial: its first analysis of the raw ore and its features (which will be explored during the separation process), are well identified thanks to the XRD, XRF, Release, Mineralogy... studies.
**Your tasks**:
- Setting up and performing tests (flotation, magnetic separation, gravimetric) within the lab or on the pilot;
- Managing the equipment, compliance follow-up, adapting to safety and environmental standards;
- Organizing and structuring the lab and pilot;
- Samples preparation for analysis;
- Creation and writing of process for testings;
- Processing, understanding and summarizing test regults in English;
- Presentation of results and participation of team discussions.
As part of our R&D research projects, you will be responsible for reliability of the results, thanks to your ability to master your equipment (maintenance, calibration, uncertainty evaluation...) and thanks to the methods applied (respect of processes...). You will be showing initiatives and be an actor of innovation on our means and processes in terms of measures. You will analyze and summarize the results as test reports, database, numerical models... in order to achieve our goals.
Your people skills will also be crucial, for the team work and to manage all the different stakeholders.
**Your profile**
- Technical Degree or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Metallurgy, or Physics Measures or Process
- Fluent in French and English
