Purpose:
Provide sourcing support to the regional Business Partners where regional categories are not handled by the Global Category Management team or local sourcing is required. The role will leverage the global source to contract process framework to execute the sourcing requirements. Activities include product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration, and supplier performance management.

Accountability Level:
Experienced individual contributor (specialist operational/technical role, or experienced professional). Works independently, with limited supervision. Problems faced may be difficult but can be addressed within an established framework

- Deliver discrete sourcing projects (above Aggreko’s spend threshold) for local and regional categories, where a dedicated Category Manager is not present, managing the sourcing activity, taking responsibility for the development and approval of sourcing strategies, market testing, negotiation and contract award
- Provide a business partner role to key stakeholders within the regional and local categories, facilitating the S2C process for all spend above threshold within the category and providing an advisory role to the business for any spend below threshold (where appropriate).
- Proactive management of local/regional supplier relationships (where applicable) with suppliers following the SRM/SPM policy and governance forums, identifying opportunities for innovation, growth, reduced cost to drive further value; conduct QBRs with top suppliers
- Prepare bid tenders and negotiate local and regional contracts for goods and services
- Collaborate with category management and business units to maintain and manage regional / lower tier supplier relationships incl. through performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyse Business trends in terms of requested goods and work with Strategic Procurement to identify potential opportunities to improve purchasing practices
- Analysis and interpretation of spend data within the region to identify opportunities to drive value and optimize purchasing practices, working with the Performance Analyst and global category team (where appropriate)
- Responsible for managing and administering the contract database and contracts within the region (where applicable categories exist), as assigned by the Category Manager or GCL, supported by the BPO/ CoE for contract uploads and MDM and Buyers/ Legal for contract administration support.
- Ensure purchasing is focused on TCO, make recommendations on balancing pricing, equipment diversity, process standardisation opportunities and longer term supplier relationships for the categories
- Meet savings targets and continually push to exceed expectations while ensuring commercial perspective
- Implement actions to optimally leverage category suppliers globally wherever possible; ensure consistency of best practices and processes and manage relationship with the Business Units to ensure that the strategy reflects their ability to fulfil Procurement requirements and ensure compliance
- Drive common standards across vendors to ensure comparability of supplier equipment within the category
