**What you will do**:
The Senior Wholesale Credit Risk Oversight Manager will provide effective challenge of wholesale credit risk (WCR) control activities performed by the First Line of Defense and by Second Line of Defence risk takers. He / She will be in charge of the performance of WCR back-testing activities and will be actively involved in all WCR risk stewardship activities

**In this role you will**:

- The performance of back-testing activities relevant to the Early Warning Indicators (EWI), Watch Worry Monitor (WWM), Collateral Valuation and ECL in Stage 3 controls
- The review/ approval of WCR’s Risk & Control Assessments (RCA’s) and Risk Map
- The continuous Review & Challenge (RAC) of registered FLOD & SLOD control and control monitoring activities
- The identification of FLOD & SLOD controls that should be created and registered within HSBC’s control oversight tool (known as HELIOS).
- The continuous tracking & monitoring of issues/ incidents that are likely to detail the lack of efficiency of specific FLOD & SLOD controls
- The active participation in the development of wholesale credit risk assurance activitie
Conditions- Previous experience in a credit risk management role.
- A working knowledge of HELIOS and HSBC ‘s control management structure
- Familiarity with the IFRS9 regulation
- Verbal and written communication skills (in English).
- Significant problem-solving and decision-making skills
