IT Business Partner

We are seeking an **IT Business Partner** to provide hands-on technical support and ensure the seamless operation of IT services across our Brussels office. In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, manage local infrastructure, and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimise IT performance. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will also oversee IT asset management, ensure compliance with IT best practices, and provide VIP support to senior management.

**Infrastructure and Application Support**:

- Provide hands-on technical support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues for local users.
- Monitor and maintain IT network, workstations, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure video conferencing rooms operate seamlessly for all users.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and configurations.
- Conduct IT onboarding for new employees, including laptop setup, mobile phone provisioning, and IT security training.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

**IT Asset and Ticket Management**:

- Maintain an up-to-date **Configuration Management Database (CMDB)** and oversee IT inventory.
- Replace and upgrade IT hardware according to the IT lifecycle plan.
- Order IT equipment in collaboration with local vendors.
- Manage IT tickets within the region, ensuring timely resolution and standardisation for efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local IT vendors for procurement of hardware, software, and IT services.
- Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with IT standards.
- Manage contracts for mobile, fixed telephony, and internet services.

**Standardisation and Best Practices**:

- Implement and enforce group IT standards and best practices locally.
- Promote new and existing IT services across TCR entities.
- Conduct regular IT audits to ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in IT operations.
- Provide premium IT support to senior management in Brussels.
- Ensure seamless IT functionality for executive travel.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect executives from potential threats.

**We are looking for an individual who**:

- Is based in Brussels and able to travel within Belgium (workshops in Liège every three months).
- Preferably has a driver’s licence (not strictly necessary).
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Speaks Dutch, French, and English fluently.
- Has experience in IT support, infrastructure maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Possesses basic IT skills in at least two of the following areas:

- Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Server (certification or experience).
- Office365 (certification or experience).
- Security and Networking.
- Deploying or managing IT projects.
- Has excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Can communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
