The Urban Land Institute is a nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. Founded in 1936, the Institute has more than 49,500 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines working in private enterprise and public service.
ULI councils deliver the Institute’s mission at the local level by providing members with education, networking, and opportunities to give back to the community. With more than 750 members, ULI France represents one of the Institute’s largest national councils in Europe, benefiting from continuous growth and is the preeminent local organization focused on creating and sustaining communities through wise land use, development, and redevelopment decisions.
The strong ULI France Steering Committee, led by the chair, and high-performing ULI France team work directly with our members, who include high-level business professionals, public officials, corporate executives, and senior members of the real estate and land use community, to help facilitate and move the needle on issues that are of the most importance to ULI France.

As part of his/her role, he or she will have the responsibility of the ULI France’s Young Leaders Group (YLG).
As a part of the France National Council team, the Associate serves as a liaison among ULI Europe headquarters, French council staff, ULI France members, and ULI France sponsor firms. The Associate is often the first point of contact for the organization, so it is imperative that she or he be courteous and professional.
We are currently working partially remotely and plan to accelerate in-person, outdoor events in September when possible (other events will continue to be held virtually). Attendance in person at the Paris office and at events is required.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Event marketing, logistics, and support**:
- Understand, communicate, and deliver the event brand to France market.
- Produce high-quality, appealing, creative, and tailored France marketing materials; and create and implement innovative and effective marketing plans.
- Monitor all marketing responses, analyze effectiveness of marketing outlets, and deliver pre-/post-event marketing analysis including delegate feedback surveys.
- Provide support on social media campaigns and community management.
- Promote ULI France meetings (physical or virtual) within the community and on social networks. Animation of social networks ULI France, with the help of the press and communication agency.
- Update the ULI France website.
- Provide support, in coordination with the press agency, on preparing the press kits.
**Provide France event logistics support**:
- Generate guest lists, event badges, event packs, agendas, and collateral for France events; mission-related activities; workshops; Product Council meetings; and any other special French events. Perform quality checks on data for each event.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding events.
- Maintain a close connection with the Customer Services team in Europe and the United States to ensure the effective setup of all French events, and to ensure that membership and registrations are processed efficiently and effectively.
**Administrative, communications, and operations support**
- Provide support to the Executive Director to deliver research-/mission-related projects and/or events in France.
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
- Perform general administrative duties (scheduling calls and meetings, booking flights, purchasing tickets, reserving conference rooms, and so on).
- On a regular basis, work with the Customer Services team in the United States and in Europe to assess registration fee collection status and chase customers with French outstanding meeting fees.
- Work closely with the Executive Director to track monthly financial performance and resolve accounting issues.
- Support the Executive Director in sponsorship efforts.
- Using France membership data, help deliver initiatives that help ULI France grow membership and convert nonmembers.
- Liaise with the other National Councils in Europe, when appropriate.
**Young Leaders Group (YLG)**
Coordinate ULI France’s Young Leaders Group (YLG), which is all ULI France members under the age of 35 (which accounts for over 25 percent of ULI France’s total membership). Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the YLG Board, which holds meetings and executes a variety of events, programs, and initiatives throughout the year.
- Attending all YLG Board meetings and events and handling logistics before, during, and after each event (note: some evening events required).
- Implementing Young Leaders professional development programs, such as the Young Leaders Mentorship program.
