**Harmonic is looking for its new SOC Engineer**

**Role summary**

Harmonic is recruiting an experienced SOC Engineer for its Security Operation Center. The engineer will work with a variety of Security tools and will be integrated in our Network and Security team leaded by the NetSec manager located in France.

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:
At least 5 years of experience in a SOC environment, certified and endorsed in previous security positions.

You will need to have in-depth knowledge of:

- Experience with security tools such as (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR) with demonstrated projects ran solely across multi-site organization, and processes / Security standards.
- Prior Analysis and/or Incident Response experience preferred.
- Development skills including scripting (g. Python, shell scripting)
- Experience with Multiple Operating Systems with a System Administrator level skill set on Windows / Linux
- Knowledge about Vulnerability Management Process (skills in the VM tools will be a plus)
- Strong security knowledge (protocols, referentials, technical solutions, Detection and response processes and tools).
- Understanding MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain, including Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
- Strong understanding of networking and associated protocols
- Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation

In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc..

- Adaptability and diplomacy
- Strong analytical skills and efficient problem solving
- Good level in English (read / written / spoken)
- Good writing of technical and operational documents
- Knowledge of ITIL (change management process), Mehari or similar risk evaluation methodology, and CIS framework would be a plus

**Duties**
- Monitoring and analyzing the security incident in the XDR / EDR solutions, triaging events and escalating as required.
- Contributing to and researching for SOC projects and activities.
- Perform L1 / L2 duties as Harmonic Security Engineer in the context of Harmonic Hybrid SOC Platform.
- Identification of incidents and subsequent analysis and investigation to determine their severity and the response required.
- Ensure that incidents are correctly reported and documented in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Report incidents, delegate corrections and track with Servicedesk, Network/Security and Infrastructure teams their corrections
- Provide technical solutions during security incidents, escalate if needed to other teams, establishing the extent of an attack, the business impacts, and advising on how best to contain the incident along with advice on systems hardening and mitigation measures to prevent a reoccurrence.
- Maintain a keen understanding of evolving threats and vulnerabilities to ensure the security of Harmonic networks.
- Update and make evolve Protective Monitoring controls/SOC documentation, processes, procedures and ensure accuracy.
- Trainings to the team about EDR / EPP platform and necessary corrections whenever necessary.
- Support IT security products which existing in the infrastructure and implement new solutions.
