As a Technical Support Engineer you are responsible for coordinating and executing technical support activities within the field of the Technical Services department of SMIT Thermal Solutions BV. This specific role is to focus on the technical support activities for SMIT equipment installed at a customers location in Southern France (Aix de Provence). It will be a long term assignment, duration approximately 18 months, ensuring the customers production runs smoothly and reliable with minimum interruption.
In addition to your practical work, you provide input and guidance to customer personnel and reporting technical and production information to SMIT colleagues in Eindhoven. Your coordination and activities within these fields result in achieving the Customer Support objectives in the areas of turnover, lead time, quality and budget.
The particular project is focused around a roll to roll high tech battery anode manufacturing tool.
Location for this assignment is predominantly in the South of France (Aix de Provence), with several months also based in Eindhoven region.
**_Tasks/responsibilities: _**
- Preparing, supervising and executing installation processes;
- Coordinating and performing FAT and SAT tests;
- Taking care of installation-related communication, both internally and externally;
- Ensuring customer equipment is performing as specified both technically and process related;
- Ensuring equipment maintenance procedures are followed and completed;
- Providing regular uptime and efficiency reports for both customer and employer;
- Providing basic process analyses for use by own colleagues;
- Training and supporting customers operators.

**_Profiel: _**
You have MBO+ working and thinking level (MBO+ in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering), preferably with experience in automation. You have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a project-driven engineering environment. You can quickly master specific technical systems and/or related problems. You naturally fulfill a leading role in a technical environment. A commercial approach to your projects, appointments and contacts comes naturally. You have excellent knowledge of the English language in word and writing. Dutch and French would be beneficial.
