Research Engineer in Geomagnetic Field Measurements

The RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) team is currently developing several innovative products and technologies, notably in the framework of publicly funded research programs with other private and academic partners.
As part of a new collaborative project with a French research institute, we would like to strengthen our team, which is currently composed of geophysicists, R&D engineers and developers.
The objective of the project is to develop a noise compensation algorithm for drone-based electromagnetic induction measurements.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing methods for compensating magnetic measurement noise (physical models, conceptual models, neural network models);
- Participating in data analysis
- Conducting laboratory and site measurements campaigns
- Writing scientific reports and publications (scientific article(s));
- Participating in related projects for prospecting by magnetic and electromagnetic methods
- Communicating results through internal and external presentations
**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
- Research or field experience in magnetometry (PhD or R&D engineer)
- Expertise in magnetic prospecting (ground, airborne, or marine);
- Modeling skills, ideally with a first experience in magnetics;
- Programming (Python/Pandas/Numpy/Scipy);
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
- French proficiency;
- Scientific writing and bibliography in English;
- Driver’s license
**DESIRED SKILLS**:
- Airborne geophysical surveying (with UAV or with manned vehicles);
- Unexplosed Ordnance (UXO) surveying;
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Based in Crolles (38), France;
- Office work;
- Laboratory experiments and site measurement campaigns
- Close collaboration with Geophysics at Géolithe and external partners
