**Position Overview**:
As the **Director of Delivery**, you will be responsible for leading all facets of project delivery - managing releases, setting priorities, coordinating with engineering and product teams, and ensuring that FlexAI’s infrastructure platform and features reach customers with the highest standards of quality, performance, reliability, and compliance.

This is a **foundational leadership role based in France or India**, reporting directly to a member of the executive leadership team. You will help define and operationalize delivery processes from the ground up, working closely with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams. You will also build and scale a world-class delivery team, with plans to bring on multiple complementary team members within the first month.

**What you’ll do**:
**Release & Delivery Management**
- Own and lead the release lifecycle for infrastructure features and platform updates.
- Act as the final gatekeeper for all releases, validating user acceptance tests, performance benchmarks, compliance, and documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts, including CI/CD, to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
- Review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and Design Docs to ensure end-to-end documentation of the user journey and acceptance criteria.
- Build scalable test plans, model validation workflows, and automated delivery pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and QA.
- Enhance release automation across QA, staging, and production to support customer scale.
- Drive a robust incident management process—including creation of actionable bug reports and resolution tracking for internal and customer-facing issues.

**Project Planning & Execution**
- Define and maintain the release calendar, aligning delivery with product roadmaps and strategic milestones.
- Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for infrastructure release planning, tracking, and execution.

**Resource & Budget Management**
- Manage team hiring, resourcing, and tooling needs; oversee the delivery budget and ensure optimal resource utilization.

**Risk & Stakeholder Management**
- Proactively identify delivery risks, track mitigation plans, and secure necessary sign-offs before launch.
- Serve as the key interface between delivery and stakeholders, ensuring transparency through clear updates and reporting.

**Leadership & Team Building**
- Build and mentor a high-impact delivery team based in India, fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and execution excellence.
- Lead hiring for future delivery and project management leaders to complement your expertise as the organization scales.

**Process & Performance Management**
- Establish repeatable, data-driven delivery processes using KPIs, dashboards, and operational playbooks.
- Continuously refine delivery workflows using agile best practices, retrospectives, and process audits.

**External Relationship Management**
- Build and manage partnerships with regional vendors, cloud providers, and research/academic institutions across India and APAC.

**Strategic Prioritization**
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and resource capacity

**What you’ll need to be successful**:
- 15+ years of experience in software delivery, project management, or engineering leadership roles, preferably in cloud, AI, or infrastructure domains.
- Deep experience with software release management, DevOps, QA automation, and incident management.
- Proven track record of driving complex technical deliveries in high-growth or startup environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and the AI/ML ecosystem is a strong plus.
- Strong leadership and people development skills, with a history of building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communicator, adept at translating complex technical and operational concepts to diverse stakeholders.
