- Customs Broker activities such as SOP definition & Broker management
- Measure compliance levels in operational functions
- Identify on customs compliance Risks & optimization opportunities within responsibility area
- Lead/define and follow up on activities to address identified compliance gaps
- Perform customs assessments for all sites to support customs processes improvement and to find potential for customs related savings
- Propose process improvements & contribute to strategic program (ideas & work)
- Proactively build networks and collaborate internally and externally to acquire and share knowledge on customs compliance through global and regional forums
- Manage customs regulatory watch
- Perform some tasks connected to export control
- Participate in developments in the area of responsibility
- Contribute to the EMEA roadmap

**Who are you?**
- Degree in Customs, Logistics, or International Business
- At least 3 years with Customs, Tax or Compliance experience
- Expertise in relevant Customs Compliance rulings and regulations
- Knowledge in Export control will be appreciated
- Proficiency in the English language is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-starter, able to take initiative to change processes and procedures
- High skills in building strong networks/relationships with other departments
- Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- To be successful in this position, you need to have data analysis/digitalization mindset and development skills

Service Market Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations. The scope for Service Market Logistics includes Flow Optimization, Inventory Management, Distribution Center operations, Customs & Trade as well as the development of logistics solutions to ensure highest possible parts availability, delivery precision and quality globally. **Customs Compliance Manager**
The Volvo Group Customs & Trade and Export Control organization (CTEC) is responsible to ensure compliance to customs rules & regulations and optimize Volvo Group processes to reduce duty related costs globally. We are about 100 employees around the world with expertise in Customs regulations. We now need to strengthen the French Customs Compliance team with a Customs Compliance Manager.
In this position you will act as Volvo’s primary contact towards the Customs authorities; explain Volvo standards and how we fulfill regulation requirements. You will also take lead or assist in internal/external audits & manage relevant Certifications and Licenses. With high ambition for the complete Volvo Group, our organization works to proactively use trade as a competitive edge and capture opportunities throughout the supply chain. The Customs France department is hosted by Renault Trucks in Lyon. Renault Trucks is an Authorized Economic Operator, Authorized Exporter, Central Customs Clearance Procedure and NCTS agreement.
We work daily with a team of customs declarants external to Volvo Group. Our responsibilities are all the brands in France and South EMEA.
