This position will be responsible for defining the annual continuous improvement plan for the plant.
The Operational Excellence Director is accountable for implementing Operational Excellence (OPEX) as a way of working within the Manufacturing and Business eco-system.
The implementation of Operational Excellence includes the Operating System, Management Infrastructure, and Mindsets, Behaviors, and capabilities supported by Industry 4.0.
Activities include leading cross-functional OPEX teams, leading OPEX work streams, driving daily issue resolution, and leading chronic Improvement teams (for systemic opportunities) to drive performance improvements across all key metrics across the Operations Balanced Scorecard.
This is a critical role with oversight for the implementation of world-class operational excellence strategies ( process analysis, LEAN principles, Kaizen, 6σ, 8D, 5Setc from suppliers to downstream supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and project development ) to optimize manufacturing performance and improve the cost of product sold.
This role requires close collaboration with key Operation functions such as Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Logistics. This position will have exposure to and will interface with Plant Managers, Operations Managers, PIO and will influence sites’ directions.
Guarantee compliance and integration of Operations Excellence principles and methods as well as productivity standards within all sites by managing budget, productivity, solution-driven mindset, continuous improvement culture, and customer satisfaction.
