**Your Team**

The Secretariat of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (**EPRA**), is hosted by the **European Audiovisual Observatory**, an Enlarged Partial Agreement of the Council of Europe. The EPRA is an independent, neutral, non-political cooperation network as well as an expert voice in European media regulation. This pan-European network comprised of 56 media regulators provides an informal and collaborative forum to facilitate the sharing of relevant information, best practice, experience and expertise, and the learning about new developments affecting the media, the information ecosystem and regulation.

**Your Role**

As a **Project Officer** **for the EPRA Secretariat**, you will help the Executive Board and the Head of the EPRA Secretariat in carrying out a large variety of tasks and duties to support and foster an active cooperation network in accordance with EPRA’s Statutes and strategic objectives, and in the framework of the hosting of the EPRA Secretariat by the European Audiovisual Observatory. You will:

- provide support with the organisation of biannual EPRA plenary meetings, which bring together about 130 representatives from media regulators, dedicated online working groups, Executive Board meetings as well as _ad ho_c _workshops; this includes contributing to the preparation of working documents and selection of speakers, participating in meetings, drafting minutes and following up on agreed actions;
- draw up short reports, documents and correspondence;
- monitor relevant developments among member authorities and the media sector, and regularly feed the news section on the EPRA website;
- co-ordinate the logístical aspects of the events with the local organisers;
- in close cooperation with the Head of the EPRA Secretariat, oversee the day-to-day business of the Secretariat, contribute to the sustainability of the network and to the efficient exchange and circulation of information among members between meetings;
- actively contribute to the external visibility of the EPRA network;
- maintain internal and external contacts with counterparts in other organisations; commissions, committees and international bodies relevant to EPRA’s activities;
- fulfil other administrative tasks that may arise, such as handling operations related to the implementation of the EPRA budget.

**Requirements to apply**

You must:

- have a higher education degree or qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (1st cycle of the **Bologna process framework of qualifications for the European Higher Education Area**) in law, political sciences, European studies, media studies, social and human sciences, or other related fields ;
- have at least 2 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 6 months relevant experience in one or more of the following: media law, media regulatory bodies, European media**sector;
- have a very good**knowledge of the two official languages of the Council of Europe (English and French).

You must also:

- be a citizen of one of the member States of the Council of Europe and fulfil the conditions for appointment to the civil service of that state;
- have discharged any obligation concerning national service (military, civil or comparable);
- not be the parent, child, stepchild or grandchild of a serving staff member of the Council of Europe;
- be under the age of 65 years.
