In this role, you will play a key part in communicating security outcomes and ensuring that teams understand what is required to achieve them. You will prioritise security tasks on a daily basis and guide teams to deliver successful results. Your ability to address challenges and conflicts, such as resource limitations and competing priorities, will help ensure that security objectives are met.

This is a hybrid position based in Paris, with 3 days a week on-site. The role does require regular European travelling.

You will be the go-to person for day-to-day security questions and concerns, making decisions based on a strong understanding of risk. You will ensure adherence to security policies and standards while coordinating resources to address problems as needed. Identifying and managing security risks, documenting them properly, and ensuring mitigation plans are implemented will be a critical part of your role. Clear documentation of decisions and the rationale behind them will also be key.

What You Need to Have:
You bring valuable experience in managing complex and evolving situations, with a proven track record of leading change in large organizations. You’re solution-oriented, with the ability to analyse challenges logically and work collaboratively to find the best outcomes. Your strong stakeholder management skills allow you to engage effectively across all levels, understanding and addressing the needs and motivations of others.

With experience working in technology-focused teams, especially in the software industry, you have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, SaaS, cloud technologies, and practices like Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps. You’re also knowledgeable in security risk management and making informed, risk-based decisions. Your attention to detail and curiosity help you uncover root causes, and your excellent communication skills allow you to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

You’ll need at least 5 years of experience in a relevant role.

What Success Looks Like:
You successfully deliver security objectives within your business area, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, as reflected in their feedback. You work collaboratively to make risk-based decisions, ensuring the rationale behind your decisions is well documented. You identify and manage information security risks effectively, ensuring they are properly recorded and mitigation plans are implemented. You also support sales and marketing colleagues, helping to ensure that security concerns do not impact sales opportunities for Sage products.
