The Vice President, Value & Access (Oncology) is a key strategic leadership position at IPSEN and will:
Lead the development and execution of innovative value and access strategies and deliverables to unlock access for IPSEN’s oncology portfolio. This leadership position will work closely with cross-functional global and local teams to develop innovative value & pricing strategies and oversee their effective implementation. Is a core member of the Value & Access global leadership team, a key advisor to IPSEN’s Executive Leadership Team on oncology market access matters and leads Business Development evaluations. Recruit, develop and manage a team of professionals coaching and enabling a best in class access organization.

**Main responsibilities / job expectations**
- **Drive the Value and Access Strategy**
- Lead the development of global P&R strategies and management of market access strategies of assets from early development through product launch across all geographies
- Work effectively with the pricing counterparts in executing pricing strategies globally and locally
- Create and lead long-term, innovative value & pricing strategies for both in-line and pipeline products utilizing leading edge technology.
- Develop value-driven optimal pricing strategies for markets including value-based contracting, tendering, etc.
- Obtain/ maintain optimal reimbursement/funding and access conditions for (insert therapy area) products globally (both in-line and pipeline). Identify the main challenges and opportunities and develop an action plan to address them.
- Establish and gain agreement for an initial pricing band for each new product to be launched by collating data from multiple sources (including market data, payer data, analogue pricing, input from key affiliates etc.)
- Develop a best-in-class Market Access and Pricing team in a given therapeutic area with capable, technically-skilled, motivated and properly-directed team members.
- Ensure relevant input of market access throughout the product lifecycle and understand, monitor and maintain intimate knowledge of the global P&R requirements in the main markets
- Ensure on-going learning from existing P&R strategies and tactics are included into future pricing decisions
- ** Build collaborate cross functional partnerships & strong relationships**
- Collaborate effectively with and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders throughout the organization being able to solicit, assess and incorporate relevant perspectives while pushing back when needed.
- Utilize a data-driven, logical approach to building consensus and gaining buy-in.
- Partner with Franchises, Commercial & R&D teams to ensure optimal market access strategies for (insert therapy area) and obtain alignment on critical issues.
- Build strong relationships with Global Operations, Business Units and market access affiliates to develop market access strategies which align both corporate and local objectives.
- Effectively collaborate and influence Franchise & Commercial Strategy, Finance and Corporate Strategy teams to appropriately forecast pricing of Ipsen (insert therapy area) products
- Develop, coordinate and communicate long-term P&R Strategy and roadmap planning across the Ipsen portfolio
- Ensure P&R needs and perspectives in (insert therapy area) are considered across the value chain and pricing strategy/bands are adhered to.
- Ensure the relevant tools developed by the team (Negotiation guide, cost calculators) meet the needs of the stakeholders and are delivered in due time
- ** Ensure Competitive Edge**
- Maintain and communicate up-to-date and meaningful analyses/ insights regarding trends/developments of P&R methods, in (insert therapy area) to key internal stakeholders and external industry peers
- Understand the evolving therapeutic area landscape and solicit perspectives from thought leaders and external partners on possible alternatives.

- Design and lead optimal Operations organization, ensure continuous Business model (organization and processes) adaptation to changing market and environment.
- Develop Leadership and Change capacities of the management team.

- Ensure that adequate financial structures and controls are in place.
- Comply with Company guidelines and country/industry standards on ethics and compliance.

**Knowledge, abilities & experience**

Education / Certifications:

- Ideal: Degree in Science, Economics, Public Policy or other relevant program
- Proven mobility
