The Global P&MA Manager develops and drives execution of P&MA strategies to demonstrate the value of the oncology portfolio to health authorities, HTA agencies and payers.
As part of the Global market access and pricing department, they will support Ipsen affiliates to optimize the access to and the pricing of the drugs within the oncology portfolio. To achieve those objectives, they will drive tactical activities to demonstrate the value of the products to payers and address the main challenges and opportunities raised.
They will work closely with the Oncology Franchise, and are expected to be proactive, proposing creative solutions and acting as an effective as a team player.
**Pricing & Market Access Strategies**:
- Monitor pricing & reimbursement landscape, including the initiatives of the competitors. Anticipate potential pricing changes and take appropriate actions
- Identify payer types & local needs (evidence-driven, budget oriented ) to optimize market access conditions
- Collaborate with key internal teams (R&D, franchise, Public Affairs) to develop the Pricing & Market Access strategy and related actions and ensure P&MA insights are embedded in product plans throughout the lifecycle
- Identify gaps in evidence and deliver clear recommendations relating to data generation to fill the gaps
- Work closely with the HEOR team to fill these gaps (evidence generation) and develop/update relevant tools: core HTA dossiers, payer value proposition
- Ensure strategic and tactical alignment across countries
- Provide support to affiliate market access teams when conducting local Market Access and Pricing negotiations, support them for local adaptation of the global P&MA tools
**Pricing & Market Access Tactics**:
- Identify & develop relevant tools: Payer Value Dossiers, Payer Value Proposition, cost calculators
- Communicate effectively on past, ongoing and new market access projects.
- Track price and reimbursement status across the globe
- Forecast net price erosion and support business cases
- Monitor the innovative and successful initiatives of competitors/ analogs in terms of Pricing
- Work closely with Global Operational Pricing to assess the impact of external reference pricing
- Partner with the Pricing Ops and Commercial teams to monitor and develop innovative pricing strategies to fit local challenges and issues
- Organize relevant workshops, training and taskforces
- Partner with key internal interfaces (local Market Access, GMs and global functions such as R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Public Affairs, Patient Affairs, External Communication, Ethics & Compliance )
**Environment Monitoring**:
- Monitor European policy projects, healthcare reforms and measure impacting the established products
- Reinforce his/her key external network (health economics experts, pricing experts, KOLs ) to get in-depths insights on MA&P trends impacting Ipsen product portfolio
- Work closely with Global Operational Pricing and actively contribute to tender management
**Education / Certifications**:
- Scientific/Economics studies background and business focus
**Experience**:
- At least 3 years in the field of Market Access & Pricing
- Experience in Oncology
- Experience working on local HTA submissions and in Pricing techniques
- Proven experience in successfully managing multiple international projects deadlines in a hands-on manner within a fast-paced work environment - in full compliance with laws, regulations and policies
- International experience in the Pharma industry in a matrix environment is a plus
**Languages**:
- Fluent English required (verbal & written)
**Key competencies required**:
- Technical knowledge of economic evaluations in Healthcare
- Knowledge of international health care systems
- Solid understanding of drug development and business background enabling the assessment competitive impact on payer strategies and the ability to challenge strategy and tactics
- Ability to develop Market Access and Pricing strategy and tactics
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects from concept to completion in a matrix environment
- Ability to interact effectively with cross functional teams
- Strong analytical skills
- Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative, and oriented and results driven
- Excellence verbal, written, interpersonal & influencing skills
