A world-leading intermediary in the wholesale financial and energy markets, Tullett Prebon seeks to maximise value for its clients' trading activities across voice, hybrid and pure electronic channels.

We offer broking services for a wide range of asset classes, including Equities, Credit, FX, Rates and Insurance Derivatives.

Across all asset classes, Tullett Prebon offers e-solutions to give clients the choice to enter prices and execute trades electronically and directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers to help identify and negotiate trades.

Role Overview

The European Repo desk in Paris is seeking a Junior Broker to join their team. Ideally we are looking to speak to local graduates who can communicate verbally, and in writing, with English and French and ideally have had previous experience in Broking.

European Repo (repurchase agreement) refers to a specific type of short-term borrowing and lending arrangement involving the sale and future repurchase of financial instruments, typically fixed-income securities, government bonds, or other high-quality collateral. The European repo market operates similarly to the broader repo market but is specific to the European financial landscape.

Role Responsibilities:
- Promote TP ICAP Group.- Deals input with a view to be trained to eventually communicate with clients.- Keep pricing screens and trade records up to date.- Provide complete support (operational and administrative) to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk, making sure brokers can remain at their desks to trade.- Promote TP ICAP.- Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems and via Bloomberg.- Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.- Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.- Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.- Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.- Assist with the on-boarding of new clients.

Experience / Competences

Essential- Demonstrated interest and understanding in the financial markets and the economy.- Evidences professional and personal integrity at all times.- Hard working and willingness to learn.- Good communication skills, written and verbal, in French and English.- Handles situations and problems effectively using own initiate.

Desired- Spanish or Italian language skills would be a plus but not essential.- Build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible.- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others.- Seeks opportunities for improvements.- Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals.- Self-starter who can use their own initiative.- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, can keep emotions under control in difficult situations with proven resilience.
