Digital Asset Treasury Lead

Full time - Paris or full remote from Western EU - (salary) + equity_

We’re hiring a **Digital Asset Treasury Lead** to own the crypto side of our multi-entity, multi-currency treasury. You’ll combine **market-facing responsibility** (hedging, execution strategy, venue selection) with **operational excellence** (custody, conversions, counterparty limits, controls). You’ll design the frameworks, processes, and reporting that will scale Kiln’s crypto treasury as the company grows.

**Responsibilities**:
**1) Market strategy & execution**
- Build short-, medium-, and long-term liquidity forecasts integrating market scenarios and protocol reward projections.
- Set hedge targets within approved limits, design structures, and execute trades across spot, forwards, and options.
- Lead relationships with exchanges, OTC desks, custodians, and liquidity providers; negotiate terms and ensure best execution.
- Monitor market conditions and proactively adjust positions within policy to optimise risk/reward.

**2) Treasury operations & settlements**
- Define custody architecture, signatory matrix, and secure transaction workflows.
- Oversee crypto-to-fiat conversions to ensure liquidity while minimising execution costs and slippage.
- Coordinate with Finance Ops & Data to run reconciliations, settlements, and ledger updates on time and without breaks.
- Ensure all systems and tools (TMS, APIs, dashboards) are configured for accurate, timely data flows.

**3) Counterparty & risk management**
- Build and maintain a counterparty framework covering limits, onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and stress testing.
- Track and report on concentrations; escalate breaches with remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain the **Digital Asset Treasury Policy** covering instruments, venues, approvals, and emergency procedures.
- Enforce operational controls including segregation of duties, maker/checker workflows, and multi-signature authorisations.

**4) Reporting & strategic enablement**
- Deliver concise, decision-ready reports and KPIs for leadership and the Board.
- Provide market and liquidity insights that influence capital allocation and risk appetite.
- Partner with corporate treasury on liquidity, FX, and funding strategies.
- Contribute to scaling processes and controls to align with public-company standards.

**Requirements**:

- ** Experience**: 5+ years in digital asset treasury, institutional crypto markets, or related roles blending execution and risk.
- ** Skills**: Custody and wallet operations, settlement workflows, execution venue management, and hedging across multiple instruments; familiarity with staking reward modelling.
- ** Risk & controls**: Proven ability to establish and operate within limits; strong governance mindset.
- ** Collaboration**: Experience partnering with Finance, Compliance, and Data/Engineering in a high-growth setting.
- ** Communication**: Ability to translate market data into clear recommendations for decision-makers.
- ** Languages**: Fluent in English; French is a plus.
