**Senior Director - Energy and Decarbonisation - EMEA (M/F/d)**

**What you will enjoy doing**
- In this role you will develop decarbonisation strategy for Linde EMEA, including the procurement strategy for renewable and low-carbon electricity supplied into existing sites
- Further you will coordinate energy-related projects to deliver lowest-cost decarbonisation to meet Linde’s targets and promote building a sustainability culture in Linde
- You will manage and develop EMEA-wide relationships with energy consultancies and licensed suppliers is part of your role
- Furthermore you understand wholesale energy and financial derivatives markets, plus supply contract availability, as you will design energy contracts to work in Linde’s interest of high flexibility with lowest cost
- In this role you will be actively involved in the business development process to ensure that on-site supply contracts for ASUs and HyCOs are mutually beneficial, fully recovering energy price and environmental regulatory risk, whilst also providing flexibility and lowest cost for our largest customers
- You will engage with trade associations, government, regulators, civil servants, the supply side of the energy industry, and where necessary, journalists to promote the fair treatment of energy intensive industry sector
- Also you will promote demand-side-management schemes within Linde operations and work with product management and Linde Engineering to develop plant designs which facilitate flexible production regimes, whilst also facilitating energy efficiency
- In addition you will develop and own robust cross-regional systems to monitor what power and gas Linde facilities are using, price that consumption accurately, and aggregate the information rapidly
- Furthermore you will maintain systems to allow timely and accurate reporting of the Energy elements of Linde Group's environmental impact, and management of its carbon trading position in EUETS and UUEKTs
- You will be in charge to support and knowledge in ISO15001 and other energy management standards
**What makes you great**
- You have a degree in engineering or business with five years’ experience in the chemical and/or energy industry
- Additional qualification in energy, financial investment appraisal or project management is preferred
- Moreover you have expertise in negotiating and managing procurement or industrial gas supply contracts, as well as an understanding of ASU, HyCo and LCO2 production processes and Bulk logistics is advantageous
- You are familiar with the scientific principles and economic realities underpinning energy generation, distribution, use and conservation, as well as of decarbonisation
- You own strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical and data manipulation skills are required
- You are proficient in English, other European language would be a plus
