**Duties**:
Incumbent coordinates all Post background investigations/certifications for Locally Employed Staff, unpaid LES interns, Overseas Summer Hire Program (OSHP) contractors, ORE, Member of Household (MOH) and domestic staff. The position also performs backup Office Management Specialist (OMS) duties when the OMS is on leave and away from Post. The support provided to Post includes the Joint-Missions, two Consulates General, four American Presence Posts, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's laboratory in Montpellier, American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) HQ and all ABMC sites in France.

Three years of administrative or secretarial experience is required.**LANGUAGE**:

Good knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.**Skills And Abilities**:
Ability to use Microsoft Office products and online databases. Ability to effectively coordinate with all sections at the Embassy and to obtain their cooperation. Must be able to distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information and to report facts accurately in a logical, concise, and objective manner. A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active-duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
**This level of preference applies to all FS employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
