**Position Overview**

We’re looking for a Director Global People Operations who loves efficiency, can partner with leaders to build a vision for people growth, builds systems that scale, manage a team of HR Generalists and Payroll Specialists, and always consider the employee experience alongside the needs of the business. This person will work within our current systems, develop new systems, and always push to enhance our culture. This role balances small tasks with large-scale projects and ensures our mission is achieved.

**Key Performance Objectives**
- Manage Our HR Services Delivery. Oversee/manage the HR staff working within the HR Services Center of Excellence to ensure flawless delivery of payroll, HR generalist support, and other related activities.
- Support Piano’s ongoing work to revise/improve our standard operating workflow. Create standard operating procedures for all People Operations team functions to ensure accuracy and accountability.

**What You'll Do**
- Reports to Global Director, People, and Organization - Human Resources
- Manage the Global People Operations Team made up of HR Generalists and Payroll Specialists to deliver seamless internal customer service related to HR, Benefits and Pay
- Ensure that our Global People Operations Team has high utilization, high internal customer satisfaction, and high levels of personal professional satisfaction themselves through ongoing measurement and reporting.
- Improve/refine HR and Payroll policies and procedures that align with the Global People Strategy
- Serve as domain leader for HR tech stack, including People systems (HRIS)
- Lead the definition and roll out of our integrated strategy and roadmap for People systems (HRIS), processes, and tools to meet business requirements, drive automation, business insights, and employee engagement.
- Build the People Ops team operating model to ensure support of the team is efficient and that team members are enabled for success. Define and create a high-performance culture, including a consistent approach to service level agreements, key performance indicators, and performance reporting
- Provide oversight and direction for all human resource management systems and operations, assuring that all HR transactions are timely, accurate, and SOX/GDPR compliant and that enhancements and system improvements streamline HR processes. Oversee the creation of periodic and ad-hoc reports to meet the demand for information in response to various external statistical data surveys and reports. Utilize accurate data from these systems to help advise and drive business decisions
- Coordinates ongoing review for all policies, programs, and practices to ensure compliance and research-based best practice programs for human capital development
- Responsible for HR operations vendor management and collaborates with others to ensure effective HR operations deliverables
- Lead and execute HR systems projects to ensure efficient processes and minimize workload redundancy while facilitating a self-service work environment (ex, applicant tracking system, performance management)
- Design and develop quarterly workforce analytics reports for HR and Executive Committee
- 40% time travel is required - most travel will be 1-2 day trips within the EU; 1-2 total longer trips per year to Americas and Asia

**Skills You Have**
- Ability to work from the office Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR leadership and/or HR Operations global experience
- HR Generalist knowledge with expertise across all HR administrative and operational functional areas; requires in-depth experience in HRIS, Operations, and scaling Shared Services.
- Experience leading and implementing large transformational plans
- A visionary mindset with a driver leadership mentality
- Demonstrated experience managing remote teams
- Experience implementing and scaling global HR operations and systems
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
