As the Associate Director – Fegersheim, you will be at the forefront of driving technological advancements and ensuring the smooth operation of critical IT systems. Leading a talented team, you will develop and implement strategic IT initiatives to support the production of life-saving medicines, ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of the systems are to their best.
Your Main Missions
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the site's IT strategy in line with business objectives.
- Identify and prioritize technology initiatives to support site growth and compliance.
- Participate in cross-functional leadership teams and benchmark innovative solutions.
- Act as Senior Director backup when needed.
Team Leadership and Development
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting their growth and retention. Mentor others in the organization.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between IT and other departments to align IT solutions with business needs.
- Establish a strong site culture based in Lilly values, expectations, and operational excellence standards.
- Support diversity, equity and inclusion in recruiting and development of team members.
- Lead recognition, pay and promotion decisions for your group.
- Lead talent assessment and succession planning activities for your group.
- Support site recruiting building IT capabilities.
IT Operations Management
- Ensure the reliable and secure operation of IT systems, including networks, servers, and storage, to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls, to protect sensitive data and intellectual property.
- Serves as the IT Fegersheim Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Leader.
Project and Financial Management
- Participates in the preparation of the whole departmental budget and capital planning. Leading the preparation of budget and/or capital projects and is responsible of managing it.
- Plans and coordinates with the Corporate IT, local IT and business groups the introduction of new technologies, methodologies, systems development and end-user productivity tools.
- Partner cross functionally locally and globally to establish and implement site IT roadmap.
- Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within allocated budgets and resources.
- Define project requirements, develop project plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure systems and equipment compliance with industry-specific regulations, such as FDA guidelines and GMP requirements, Lilly corporate policy and procedures, and local procedures to maintain product quality and safety.
- Ensures to be in compliance with Cybersecurity aspects, assure systems and equipment are well protected following planned or unplanned patching cycles. Maintain linkage with related Cybersecurity global efforts to assure systems are in compliance.
- Enforce security protocols to protect confidential information and ensure privacy compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate IT audits and inspections, addressing any findings promptly.
Profile
- Engineering degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 5 years of IT leadership experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Fluent in English; international experience is a plus.
- Strong experience with IT audits, compliance, and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Proven leadership, team management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies (cloud, IoT, AI, data analytics) and ITSM frameworks (ITIL).
