Head of Consumer Marketing

The Head of Consumer Marketing/Marketing Lead will be based in the Paris office and will work in close collaboration with cross-functional leadership teams including Music, Podcasts, AudioBooks, Brand Partnerships, Premium Marketing, Product, Business Development, Advertising Teams, PR and Market Operations to effectively acquire, activate and retain Spotify users. What You'll Do
- Provide strong leadership to the team, articulate a vision of growth for the region, and develop Spotify's consumer-centric marketing strategy, plans and execution
- Deliver focused, attributable, large scale coordinated marketing programs to accelerate capture of addressable market
- Provide counsel to the leadership team and cross-functional partners on the market landscape (media and societal trends, growth opportunities, competitive landscape)
- Drive alignment, understanding and providing adoption of regional target audiences across all stakeholders
- Understand consumer demand and deliver a focused x-functional effort to identify untapped growth target audiences, advised by first and third party data; deliver outstanding content and marketing solutions through direct and partner channels
- Develop consumer marketing strategies to successfully establish our brand; driving awareness, growth and loyalty through traditional media, digital, social, partnerships and owned channels
- Use existing relationships with global and local partners to extend speed to market, reach and ongoing consumer engagement for Spotify
- Work closely with Content teams to drive the music, podcast, audiobooks marketing agendas and ensure content priorities are aligned to our core audiences' needs as well as Business Development and Brand Partnerships to drive cultural relevance and user interest
- Handle the marketing budget to ensure marketing programs carried out are fully optimized
- Consistently champion the Spotify brand values, people values and Social Impact initiatives, acting as a role model both within the team and externally
- Coordinate relationships with the distributed team to execute successfully at a local level
- 10 + years' experience in consumer, digital media, e-commerce or entertainment marketing
- A strong leader, capable of inspiring teams, with a truly collaborative mentality
- Able to convert high-level business and marketing strategy into tangible, effective local marketing execution across channels
- Experience from a fast-growing, dynamic environment where charisma, creativity and strategic thinking are essential to this success
- Driven by return on investment and data
- End-to-end experience of the marketing process from initial briefing all the way to execution
- Highly customer obsessed and data literate. Able to interrogate market, consumer and customer data and present recommendations on market and consumer
- Comfortable influencing up and down a large organization, including at senior levels
- Portfolio of strong consumer marketing campaigns resulting in customer acquisition and business partnerships, including across traditional and digital/social platforms
- Experience with managing external agency relationships
- This role is based in Paris, France.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
- We ask that you come in 3-4 times per week.
