Senior Reliability Engineer (RAMS)

As part of its continued expansion, our client is seeking a
Senior Reliability Engineer (RAMS)
to take a leading role in defining, implementing, and driving reliability and operational safety activities for complex hydrogen energy systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and regulatory compliance throughout the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

RAMS Leadership and Studies

  • Lead and contribute to reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) analyses for hydrogen-based energy systems.
  • Support the definition and deployment of RAMS strategies for current and future development programs.
  • Identify potential technical and operational risks and define preventive and corrective action plans.

Standards, Certification, and Compliance

  • Identify and maintain the applicable regulatory and normative framework required for product certification.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international standards and regulations (ISO, IEC, and related standards).
  • Support interactions with certification bodies, notified bodies, and external auditors.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to operational and functional safety.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, production, quality, and validation teams to integrate safety and reliability requirements from early development phases.
  • Participate in design reviews and lead structured risk analyses.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to internal teams, suppliers, and partners to ensure adherence to safety requirements.

Testing, Validation, and Lifecycle Feedback

  • Collaborate with V&V teams to define and implement test plans validating system reliability and operational safety.
  • Analyze test results, identify weaknesses, and propose technical and process improvements.
  • Ensure effective implementation and follow-up of RAMS action plans.
  • Capture and formalize lessons learned from development, testing, and series production phases.

Senior Reliability Engineer (RAMS) requirements

  • Degree qualification in engineering or equivalent.
  • Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in reliability engineering, RAMS, or operational safety, ideally within renewable energy, embedded systems, or complex electromechanical products.
  • Strong knowledge of RAMS methodologies, risk analysis techniques, and applicable standards.
  • Familiarity with V-cycle development processes.
  • Knowledge of hydrogen and fuel cell standards is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented, with a proactive and autonomous working style.
