Logistics is a pain for both retailers and brands. Independent retailers struggle with inventory management and reliable delivery while brands prefer to focus on marketing and product. Our mission is to delight our customers by creating an amazing product and delivery experience. We want to set new standards for businesses and brands.

We help brands ship their orders seamlessly and everywhere by partnering with the most relevant logistics partners. We help retailers by respecting the promised delivery date, decreasing click-to-order lead times, securing inventory and making sure the product comes in perfect condition. This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact on our customers and to get a 360 view on the e-commerce BtoB supply chain (transportation, fulfillment, cross-border shipping).

Before summer 2022, the products were all stored and prepared at the brand's premises. In order to reach new delivery service levels while decreasing our costs, we rolled out our Fulfillment offer, where Ankorstore stores products and prepares orders on behalf of the brand. Our first Fulfillment Centre opened at the beginning of July 2022, and has ramped out since then: storing products from more than 250 brands, and preparing and shipping more than 30% of all Ankorstore orders. It is one of the most strategic projects for Ankorstore.

This internship is designed to give you hands-on experience in process mapping, data analysis, and project management within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities
As a Fulfillment Process Improvement Intern, you will:

• Analyze current processes: map out existing fulfillment processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement.
• Analyze operational data to quantify inefficiencies, validate improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with logistics managers and cross-functional teams to design new and more efficient processes.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on reducing fulfillment costs
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Requirements

• Analytical, curious, creativity & proactivity
• Familiarity with process improvement and project methodologies (Lean or SixSigma is a plus)
• Ability to work closely with different teams (operational teams, customer service, supply planning, sales, product & tech)
• You enjoy and are used to working in a fast-paced & ever-changing environment
• Experienced in logistics (within a startup is a plus)
• Fluent in French & English
• You have experience in data analysis and data visualization (SQL)
