Job summary
As Head of AI, you will define and drive the company's AI strategy across its security and infrastructure products. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the founding team, you will lead research, development, and deployment of AI capabilities that protect critical systems and empower developers worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the AI vision at an early stage, setting the technical and product direction while building and mentoring a world-class team.
Key responsibilities
Set the AI vision: Define and communicate how AI will power the company's security and infrastructure products.Lead research & development: Explore and apply cutting-edge AI/ML methods, with a focus on LLMs and applied security use cases.Bridge science and product: Translate research into practical, scalable solutions that deliver clear value to customers.Guide product integration: Partner with product and engineering teams to embed AI into workflows with reliability, performance, and safety.Build and mentor: Recruit, develop, and inspire a growing team of AI researchers and engineers.Stay ahead of the curve: Monitor industry trends, risks, and opportunities to ensure the company leads in applied AI for security.Influence strategy: Collaborate closely with leadership on long-term positioning, go-to-market strategies, and product differentiation.
Required skills & qualifications
Best in class experience in AI/ML, with expertise in leadership roles.Proven track record of delivering AI-powered products, ideally in security, developer tools, or infrastructure.Deep expertise in modern AI techniques (transformers, LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, anomaly detection).Strong engineering background with the ability to evaluate architectures, scalability, and data pipelines.Demonstrated ability to take research from lab to production.Exceptional leadership and communication skills; able to inspire teams and translate complex AI into clear business value.Fluent in English (our working language).Based in Paris, ready to collaborate closely onsite with the leadership team.
Tech Environment
Likely tools and frameworks: TypeScript/React, Python, , LangChain, OpenAI, vector databases, modern CI/CD, and observability tools.Strong preference for experience or active interest in LLMs, agentic architectures, and developer/security tools.
