Strategy lead, supporting Opella's in-house capabilities by defining comms and SoMe strategies for our brands. This role is to be embedded in the Wonka Team in Paris.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand teams and marketers in shaping their positioning, brand territory and campaign objectives, depending on scope agreed for the in-house team (in some cases, the brands still collaborate with an external agency for part of the scope).
  • Leverage social listening, to uncover audience motivations, cultural moments, and opportunities for brand storytelling and tone of voice.
  • Translate brand ambitions and business objectives into actionable creative briefs for the internal creative and content teams.
  • Integrate regulatory compliance and scientific accuracy in all content briefs (no medical expertise is required, this is covered by Regulatory teams at Opella).
  • Contribute to the creative ideation process, bringing strategic rigor and audience understanding to the table.
  • Partner closely with creative, AI, and content production teams to ensure integrated campaigns are built on strong consumer centricity.
  • Analyse content performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve content strategy
  • Collaborate with Martech team to build best practices for AI-assisted strategy — from insight generation to performance measurement.
  • Liaise with the other Wonka Teams across the globe to share insights, methodologies, and strategic learnings across markets.

Profile

  • Background & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in brand strategy, communications strategy, social media strategy within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

  • Experience working in creative agencies, in‑house studios, or hybrid set‑ups.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into clear strategic recommendations and actionable creative briefs.

  • Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to transform data and content performance metrics into strategic guidance and optimization plans.

  • Familiarity with omnichannel content ecosystems and platform‑specific best practices (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).

  • Ways of Working

  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working cross‑functionally.

  • Comfortable navigating global organizations and contributing to shared methodologies, frameworks, and community building across markets.

  • Languages

  • Fluency in English required.
