Duties

As Make Ready Assistant, position directly works on 100 Make Ready projects per year and helps coordinate contractors' work as well as in-house maintenance activities, making sure project deadlines are respected.

Position subject drafts and sends out housing assignments to newcomers (about 90 assignments/ year) and must answer follow up questions from customers on a wide range of topics.

Position manages the keys of the entire Embassy housing pool (about 240 properties), creates tags and generates new entries for the Ecos Systems keywatcher.

Position works closely with internet provider SFR, to plan the installations of internet in newcomers' residences (up to 100 internet installations per year).

Employee is also responsible for the supply of drapes in all USG leased and owned apartments prior to the arrival of diplomats, as well as the maintenance and disposal of the equipment.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a: security certificate; Public Trust (Non-Sensitive, Low-Risk) security clearance.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.

Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (12 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Full performance: Secondary school and a minimum of three years of experience working in an office or dealing with one or more building trades (painter, plumber, electrician, carpenter), hotel management or real-estate business is required.(grade 7).

Training Level: Secondary school and a minimum of two years of experience working in an office or dealing with one or more building trades (painter, plumber, electrician, carpenter), hotel management or real-estate business is required (grade 6).

Employees hired at a training grade must complete 52 weeks of successful performance at the training grade to be eligible for promotion to the next grade, regardless of the experience level at entry on duty

SALARY: the annual gross salary includes: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the "Comité d'Entreprise" allowance.

MEAL TICKETS: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

TRANSPORTATION: Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

HOLIDAYS: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.
