Internship Opportunity: Full stack Mobile App engineer

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Mobile App engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and success of the ChessBar mobile app. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a project that combines technology, community building, and the pleasure of chess.


Responsibilities:

  • App Development: Assist in the development of the ChessBar mobile application (flutter, firebase, Java Script)

  • User Experience: Ensure a slick and intuitive user interface that builds a delightful user experience for finding and participating in local chess tournaments.

  • Testing and Debugging: Implement and run automated testing programs

  • Community Engagement: Work closely with the community management team to implement the a/b test framework and build features that foster player engagement

  • Performance Optimization: Optimize the app's performance to ensure smooth operation across various devices and network conditions.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mobile app development frameworks such as Flutter, React Native

  • Programming Language: Experience with Dart, JavaScript, Swift, or Kotlin.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Chess: A genuine interest in chess and community-building is a plus.

  • Language: English or French
