Purpose of the role
To support PBWM with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
- Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.
- Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
- Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.

Join us as a Vice President within Investments & Banking Operations at Barclays, where you'll be responsible for leading 2 operational teams (14+ FTE) and overseeing a wide range of core banking processes. This role requires strong operational oversight, stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage both "business as usual" and change driven activities across the platform.
You will oversee key activities including
- Treasury back office (nostro levelling, reconciliation)
- Payments & Investigations (domestic/international non STP)
- Checks and Debit card processes
- Asset transfers and corporate actions (incl. SRD2)
- Private equity and derivatives Settlements
- Trade, positions, cash and stock breaks management and reconciliations
- Regulatory trade reporting (Mifid2, EMIR)
You will work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize tasks, monitor operational performance, and ensure effective control frameworks. The role also requires managing resource planning, governance, training oversight and driving/supporting change initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you should have sounded knowledge and skills in:
- Extensive Investments operations and process (settlement, custody, corporate actions, derivatives)
- Banking operations and process
- Issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Strong people leader and management
- Stakeholder communication & collaboration
- Operational and regulatory improvements requirement and delivery
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Technical proficiency in AVALOQ
- Understanding of business processes and customer journeys within Private banking.
- Experience in change management and delivery
- English and French speaker

This is a hybrid role and based in Monaco.
