Symrise Food & Beverage offers a wide range of innovative, natural, and sustainable ingredients for food and beverage manufacturers, as well as products for infant nutrition and dietary supplements. In-house agronomists carefully select raw materials and apply responsible sourcing practices to preserve the best natural qualities of conventional and organic fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, vanilla, and plants. Specific ADF/IDF food products have been integrated into the Naturals business unit as part of the transformation of the Flavor and Nutrition segments into Taste, Nutrition & Health.

Your role

  • Lead the purchasing strategy for your assigned portfolios, in alignment with company objectives.
  • Analyze internal needs and ensure supply chain security to guarantee business continuity.
  • Explore the market: conduct sourcing studies and identify new, innovative, and competitive supply opportunities.
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers: organize visits, conduct audits, and build long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiate with impact: optimize costs and purchasing conditions to maximize added value.
  • Contribute to each stage of the procurement process, from needs assessment to contract finalization.
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting to track performance and support strategic decision-making.

You hold an engineering degree in agriculture or agrifood, ideally complemented by specialized training in procurement, and you have at least two years of experience in purchasing and negotiation within a B2B food environment or equivalent.

Comfortable in an international context, you are fluent in English and willing to travel abroad. Your persuasiveness, curiosity, and strong listening skills enable you to build solid partnerships and address complex challenges with agility.

You enjoy teamwork while confidently asserting your ideas, and you demonstrate strong abilities in anticipating needs, influencing stakeholders, and innovating. You are proficient with ERP systems as well as Excel and PowerPoint, essential tools to manage your activities effectively.

Salary: €40K to €45K over 13 months depending on experience + company benefits: RTT, meal card, profit-sharing, incentive plan, works council advantages
