The Head of Site Management will oversee and manage the IT operations and infrastructure at all SHS VARIAN global sites. This includes ensuring system and application reliability, security, and compliance while aligning IT strategies with business objectives. The position will manage global IT teams, budgets, projects, drive innovation, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Will significantly contribute to operational efficiency and growth. In addition, the person will develop the site management teams to deliver best in class IT services and ensure high level of customer acceptance and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure critical IT infrastructure across all sites is operational 24x7x365.
  • Maintain continuous network connectivity by coordinating with global IT teams.
  • Manage escalations promptly and effectively.

Strategic Alignment

  • Engage with business and IT headquarters to identify tactical and strategic IT demands.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable IT initiatives.
  • Drive IT projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Strategic workforce planning on an ongoing basis

Performance & Governance

  • Provide KPIs on overall and specific IT performance.
  • Balance priorities of the business, IT resources and budgets to ensure high value add to the organization
  • Implement governance models as prescribed by corporate IT standards.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction and incorporate feedback into service improvements.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Ensure cybersecurity protocols are met at all sites.
  • Protect corporate data and artifacts in line with compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Competence (CoC) specialists.
  • Collaborate with IT business partners across the organization.
  • Promote IT innovations and new services to enhance business capabilities
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Ability to manage global IT teams across time zones and projects effectively.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on business improvement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Degree in IT or related field; experience in managing IT operations preferred.

The base pay range for this position is:

$217,580 - $299,167

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
