Power Electronics Engineer – Drives & Electrical Conversion systems

Location: Bourgogne, France

Power Electronics Engineer
with strong technical experience in drive systems, automation, and power conversion for high-impact industrial and infrastructure projects across France and internationally.

Our client is a global specialist in power conversion systems, developing cutting-edge solutions including motors, converters, and automation systems for energy-intensive sectors such as marine, industrial, and renewables. You'll join a passionate engineering team working at the forefront of electrification and decarbonisation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design or adapt power electronics and electrical systems integrating converters, motors, and LV/MV distribution components.
  • Define technical solutions based on customer specifications, standards, and performance requirements.
  • Produce technical documentation: equipment specifications, electrical schematics, installation files, and supplier packages.
  • Lead and oversee suppliers/subcontractors: technical alignment, documentation reviews, and factory testing.
  • Coordinate internally with engineering, procurement, production, and commissioning teams.
  • Track engineering progress: planning updates, effort estimation, document delivery, and project reporting.
  • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases on-site.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in power generation, rotating machines, or industrial automation.
  • Strong technical background in electrical systems, drives, and power conversion.
  • Fluent in English and open to international travel.
