  • Candidate profile: PhD in material sciences and a high experience in experimental rheology in fluid and/or granular systems and numerical simulation.

The 3d.FAB research group, located in Lyon (France) (ICBMS-3d.FAB), opens a 24-month postdoc position in the frame of a collaborative project (Softshield – I-Demo, France 2030) with its spin off company 3Deus Dynamics. This project aims to generate complex and active composites using a proprietary AM technology called Dynamic Moulding, to produce fire-resistant seal for aeronautics.

Dynamic Moulding is a new zero gravity and freeform additive manufacturing technology patented by the 3d.FAB research group and commercialized by 3Deus Dynamics. More information about the technology can be found in the 3d.FAB group initial publication

The post-doctoral fellow will works on uniting non-Newtonian and granular rheologies taking place within the Dynamic Moulding process, ultimately deciphering the structure-properties relationships of the printed objects.

Candidate additional skills: The candidate is expected to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with a creative approach to scientific tasks. The candidate should have the skills necessary to be an independent researcher. The abilities to lead and a communicative are strong advantages. Fluent English language is required for this position.

Pay: 2,681.00€ - 3,565.00€ per month
