We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel or Deputy General Counsel (depending on seniority) to join our team in Paris. This role will primarily focus on regulatory guidance, but will be supporting contracts related to our core services, including market making, OTC trading, custody, and other crypto financial services. Additionally, a key part of this role will be to provide legal and regulatory support for the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, ensuring compliance across our operations.

You will work closely with our Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Trading teams, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure robust legal frameworks and regulatory adherence in the rapidly evolving crypto industry

Your role and responsibilities

• Provide regulatory legal guidance on MiCA and other financial regulations, ensuring compliance with European financial laws.
• Monitor changes in crypto and financial regulations, advising on their impact on the business.
• Organize and manage corporate governance, coordinate board meetings, and provide corporate law support to the company.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts related to market making, OTC trading, custody, and other crypto services.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement policies in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage external legal counsel relationships and coordinate legal matters as needed.
• Assist in risk mitigation strategies related to commercial agreements and regulatory obligations.
• Draft/negotiate contracts in French and English while collaborating with Product and Compliance departments.

Background and Experiences

• At least 7 years of experience in commercial legal roles within crypto, financial services or fintech — in-house experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including MiCA, MiFID, AML/CFT frameworks, and EU financial laws.
• Extensive experience managing corporate governance matters for companies operating in crypto, financial services, or fintech industry.
• Skilled in drafting and negotiating complex contracts in financial or crypto-related services.
• Crypto/digital assets regulatory exposure (AMF) and comfort advising in calibrated-risk environments.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
