Job Description:
This role is a replacement position supporting a growing surgical coding team. The individual will split time evenly between supervisory responsibilities and hands-on provider education and auditing. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Surgical Coding Supervisor (50%) and Provider Educator/Auditor (50%)
• Provide education, auditing, and compliance support to providers and coding staff
• Assist with unlisted CPT codes and complex surgical coding scenarios
• Develop and maintain Excel tools, PowerPoint presentations, and tip sheets
• Collaborate closely with the Surgical Coding Manager to support team needs

Qualifications:

• Active AAPC or AHIMA certification
• Strong surgical coding experience, including unlisted codes
• Experience with provider education and auditing
• Proficiency in EPIC and Optum 360
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation tools
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fluid, evolving role
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a flexible attitude
