Your impact
As a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will own and drive end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the assigned payroll portfolio. You will act as a trusted expert, proactively identifying improvements, managing risks, and supporting audits, while contributing to a smooth and compliant payroll experience for employees and stakeholders.

What The Role Offers

  • Start to End payroll processing France and other EMEEA payrolls. Excellent knowledge in France payroll and employment compliance - Dealing with all payroll Administration in terms of payroll input/out, such as benefits administration, Compliance administration, tax, and financial year end administration, annually /quarterly and ad-hoc admin activities, banking, and treasury related activities.
  • Responsible with all payment's dispensations relating to payroll activity.
  • Supporting all admin tasks linked to payroll compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive, able to anticipate and be prepared in advance. Conscientious and organised leads by example.
  • Able to plan and able to deliver on key tasks and deadlines.
  • Helps training other team members & responsible with developing own knowledge and keeping up to date with knowledge required to this professional level.
  • Supports all queries / tickets from internal and external parties and from auditors. To ensure all submissions to relevant external parties are made on time without delays.
  • Self-starter takes on responsibility and able to deliver results that are effective and efficient.
  • Investigates, carries out root cause analysis. reviews processes and procedures, policies, identifies risk and works with leads and managers to manage the risks to payroll operations.
  • Keen to support team members with an approachable attitude. Contributes and leads large project and takes accountability on delivering results to projects in a given capacity.
  • Manages team members in terms of support with their operational activities and professional development.
  • Takes on regional responsibilities / hub responsibilities.
  • Supports payroll managers and cross functional teams and payroll team members, ensures all operational process and procedures are followed and acts as the leader in continuous improvement, streamlining and harmonisation, automation.

What You Need To Succeed

  • 8+ years of payroll experience - good knowledge on Finance, HR and compliance
  • Updates, payroll manager/lead payroll specialist in relation upcoming to legislative changes, on streamlining opportunities, any risks or concerns relating to payroll operations. Ensure all deadlines are met without any issues.
  • Proactive in communicating of any issues or concerns. Aware of roles and responsibilities able to make decisions and communicates these decisions to payroll lead/manager and other cross functional teams and discusses any issues and concerns
  • To have and build good working relationship with cross functional teams and understand their process to anticipate any risks and issues that may link to payroll operations.
  • At all times aware of audience requirements, level of knowledge in communicating effectively.
  • Holds team meetings with payroll teams and cross functional teams, discuss operational activities, streamlining and harmonization and automations opportunities, to have excellent implementation and technical knowledge
  • Proactive in communicating of any issues or conversable to communicate and collaborate effectively to manage processes and procedures.
  • Main contact in managing risks to payroll operations within the given portfolio of payrolls, aims to support and guide colleagues in the business in the given capacity.
  • Extremely good communicator both written and spoken to small or large audiences.
