Internship – 3D synthesis phase of a life sciences project F/M

About the mission we offer you:

Within the Life Sciences division of the Processes department, you will work alongside our implementation/3D specialist during the 3D synthesis phase as part of a Life Sciences project in the Lyon region.

As part of a design and construction project, the 3D synthesis phase aims to coordinate the various trades (architecture, fluids, equipment) in order to ensure spatial and technical consistency prior to execution.

Internship objectives

• Participate in the creation and updating of 3D digital models (BIM or equivalent).
• Participate in technical coordination between disciplines (HVAC, electricity, plumbing, processes).
• Verify the compliance of installations with the constraints of the various lots and regulations.
• Contribute to the production of deliverables (plans, 3D views, clash reports).
• Develop a methodology support for 3D synthesis including the following aspects:

o Organizational,

o Temporal aspects of this phase of the project (sequencing of the various trades),

o Optimization of digital data exploitation with a view to optimizing work (speed of detection, process automation, etc.).

Main tasks

1. Modeling and integration

• Integrate models from different batches into the overall model.
• Make adjustments to resolve conflicts (clash detection).

2. Analysis and synthesis

• Identify inconsistencies and propose technical solutions.
• Participate in coordination meetings with project teams.

3. Document production

• Generate plans and 3D views for validation.
• Prepare summary reports for project reviews.
• Write a procedure on synthesis/3D

During this internship, you will be supported by a mentor who will answer any questions you may have.

Starting Date: January 2026 

Duration : 6 months

About you:

 Required skills

Technical:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of BIM principles and associated standards.
• Comfortable with digital tools and AI.

Life sciences:

• Understanding of the constraints associated with scientific environments (laboratories, clean rooms, safety).

Soft skills:

• Rigorous, detail-oriented, ability to work in a team.

Required profile

• Engineering or master's student (civil engineering, process engineering, biotechnology, or equivalent).
• Interest in digital modeling and technical coordination.
• Initial experience in BIM or CAD is a plus.
