About this Role

In this context of rapid growth, Our client seeks to establish a robust legal structure compliant with French and European legal requirements. Our client is recruiting an experienced In-House Legal Counsel capable of supporting management in daily legal matters and securing business operations.

Responsibilities

Labor Law and Social Relations

  • Advisory:
    Advise HR and operational management on the application of the French Labor Code (
    Code du travail
    ) and relevant collective bargaining agreements.
  • Documentation:
    Draft, review, and secure all documents related to individual and collective labor relations (employment contracts, amendments, disciplinary procedures, Social and Economic Committee/CSE).
  • Conflict Management:
    Support teams in managing contract terminations, social litigation, and relations with social partners (unions/employee representatives).
  • Compliance:
    Ensure proactive monitoring of labor law developments and contribute to internal compliance.

Business Law and Contracts

  • Contracting:
    Draft, analyze, and negotiate standard commercial contracts (suppliers, service providers, partners, dealerships).
  • Operations Support:
    Support commercial and operational teams in securing contractual commitments.
  • Litigation:
    Manage commercial pre-litigation and coordinate with external counsel when necessary.

Cross-functional Compliance and Legal Coordination

  • Data Privacy:
    Contribute to compliance with personal data protection obligations (GDPR) and CNIL regulations.
  • General Legal Support:
    Monitor basic legal aspects regarding taxation and corporate law, in conjunction with the Finance Department and external advisors.
  • Coordination:
    Manage specialized law firms for technical domains (taxation, intellectual property, complex litigation, regulatory compliance).
  • Governance:
    Participate in structuring internal legal best practices and developing corporate governance.

Candidate Profile

  • Education:
    Master 2 in Labor Law, Business Law, or an equivalent legal degree.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel in a similar role.
  • Expertise:
    Excellent command of French Labor Law and/or Business Law.
  • Compliance Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of GDPR, corporate taxation, and corporate law.
  • Skills:
    Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts; ability to coordinate external advisors efficiently and structuredly.
