As a Software Engineering Lead, you'll play a central role in that mission, guiding teams that build digital platforms powering the future of global health manufacturing.

Location: Lyon, France (Hybrid)
Languages: English (French is a plus)

What you'll do:
  • Lead and manage a team of senior software engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, initiative, and ownership.
  • Define and drive the technical vision for a specialized domain within the broader M&S Accelerator ecosystem.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of systems developed by your teams.
  • Organize teamwork effectively, set goals, monitor progress, and hold the team accountable for delivery.
  • Empower engineers to take ownership of their work while proactively addressing unowned or complex technical areas that improve team efficiency.
  • Align team goals with broader strategic and organizational objectives, ensuring data-driven decisions at every step.
  • Maintain a high technical bar while balancing pragmatism to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—product managers, scientists, and end users—to define and deliver impactful digital solutions.
  • Stay close to the code, providing hands-on technical guidance while focusing on leadership and strategy.

Requirements
  • Proven experience leading and managing large or senior-level engineering teams, fostering growth and accountability.
  • JavaScript / TypeScript )
  • React or similar frontend frameworks
  • Microservice architectures and API design
  • Cloud-native systems and security best practices
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar)
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a technical vision within a defined scope while aligning with organizational strategy.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound trade-offs under pressure.
  • Growth-oriented leadership style, focused on coaching, mentorship, and developing talent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • Partner with leadership on hiring, performance management, and team development.
