Overview

This is an opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to join an international organisation in a broad, hands-on accounting role. The position would suit someone looking to grow their post-qualification career who is looking to deepen their technical expertise, build on their international experience and work closely with stakeholders across multiple countries.

The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting for local legal entities, and acting as a key link between local operations and international finance teams.

Fluency in both French and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and review monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close activities
  • Ensure accurate preparation of management reporting, statutory accounts and group reporting packages
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of variances
  • Manage local VAT, payroll-related taxes and statutory filings in line with local regulations
  • Liaise closely with shared service centres to ensure smooth processing of AP and AR activities
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Assist local management with finance-related projects and ad hoc analysis
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with international finance teams across multiple jurisdictions

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar
  • Approximately 3–5 years' experience in a structured, international environment
  • Experience working across borders or with international stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of statutory accounting and financial reporting
  • Exposure to local tax requirements including VAT
  • Comfortable working with shared service centres or centralised finance teams
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
  • Proactive, organised and keen to learn, with a strong attention to detail
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Language Requirements

  • Fully fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Comfortable operating in a bilingual, international working environment
